St. James Day Walk and Gear Swap/Sale!

We are looking forward to our annual St. James Day walk event. We’ll meet in the picnic area near the playground and restrooms at the main Beaver Lake Parking Lot – look for the yellow arrows! Walkers can choose to walk 10 km or 20 km. Come join us, share experiences and enjoy a picnic together after the walk and a Gear Swap!

If you would like to walk 20 km (twice around the lakes), the meeting time is 7:45am and walk starts at 8am. If you would like to walk 10 km (once around the lakes) meeting time is 9:45am at 10am.  The picnic will start about 12:00pm with everyone bringing their own food, beverages, and seating. Dessert will be provided!

Gear Sale / Swap
Victoria Chapter is having our first Gear Sale / Swap during the picnic at St James Day! Declutter your gear closet, keep items out of the landfill, and provide your local community an accessible way to “shop” sustainably.

If you have gear you would like to sell or trade, bring a blanket to spread out your wares at the picnic area from 12 noon onwards. Buyers, bring your cash or use etransfer to purchase that “new to you” backpack, poles or other gear!
