Beckwith Broadmead Walk

The walk begins at Beckwith Park, just off Quadra Street, where there is ample parking. From the park, the route follows a series of quiet residential streets and connector trails leading to the Rogers Street pedestrian overpass across the Pat Bay Highway, then continues on to the Colquitz River Trail.
Around the 5‑kilometre mark, we will pass the Royal Oak Shopping Centre, where we can stop for coffee at McDonald’s or Tim Hortons. From there, the route goes through the tunnel under the highway and continues on to the Rithets Bog Trail. After leaving the bog, we follow additional connector trails and quiet streets through the Broadmead area. The overall route is moderate, with one short but steep staircase (equipped with a handrail) near the end.
