We are excited to launch a brand-new\, Wednesday morning walking program specifically focused on incline training. \nWhile our Saturday walks are perfect for building distance and endurance\, our Wednesday sessions will focus on building the leg strength and lung capacity needed for those memorable Camino climbs and for some of our local walks. DESCRIPTION:Saanich Commonwealth Centre \nWalking the Camino del Norte The Camino del Norte is a scenic\, challenging ~800–835 km pilgrimage along Spain’s northern Green Coast from Irún to Santiago. Over 5–6 weeks it crosses the Basque Country\, Cantabria\, Asturias\, and Galicia\, with beaches\, coastal views\, and great cuisine. \nQuieter than the Camino Francés. Walking in France / Le Puy The Le Puy Camino (GR65) is a renowned 745–750 km pilgrimage from Le Puy-en-Velay to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port\, typically 35–40 days. Walk through rural villages\, UNESCO sites\, and varied countryside—often a quieter\, scenic alternative to Spanish routes. This talk covers key sites\, services\, and accommodations.
