The café is located inside Quality Food\, upstairs. We will walk back downtown and join the parade crowd!!! The parade begins at 5 pm and it’s usually jam-packed with folks and yes\, a traffic jam occurs after the parade ends around 6:15 pm.\nPlease carpool\, take the bus or perhaps\, enjoy supper at one of our Sidney restaurants after the parade. From there\, we’ll journey through quiet residential streets and natural trails\, making our way to the pedestrian overpass near Pacific Christian School. \nOur route continues to the summit of Christmas Hill\, where a steep but beautifully maintained trail—with stone steps—leads to rewarding views. After descending\, we’ll stroll through Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary and finish up at Whole Foods for a well-deserved coffee break. \nWe’ll then cross the Switch Bridge and follow Regina Avenue back to Tillicum. We’ll begin our evening at the Hotel Grand Pacific\, where we’ll spend about 15 minutes admiring the beautiful Gingerbread Showcase. From there\, we’ll stroll over to the Legislature to take in its dazzling lights before heading to the iconic Empress Hotel for a quick walk-through. \nOur holiday spirit will lead us up Government Street and into Chinatown for a glimpse of the festive atmosphere\, before continuing to Centennial Square to enjoy the magical Lights of Wonder festival. Wander through the illuminated displays\, soak up the entertainment\, and maybe treat yourself to a hot chocolate! \nNext\, we’ll make our way from Fort Street to Blanshard\, with an optional detour across the bridge to Lure Restaurant. There\, you can unwind with your beverage of choice and a snack.
