DESCRIPTION:Meeting Point: Hardy Park\, Corner of Moody Street and Wallace Road\nMeeting Point Map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bsRWda9YyntBG44LA\nRoute Map: https://onthegomap.com/s/bo0pvet1 \nThis walk starts at Hardy Park in Brentwood Bay\, offering distant ocean views. We ascend to Gore Park\, with slab rocks\, moss\, and frost-covered plants. Continuing to Oak Haven Park\, then climbing a hill to a summit with Saltspring Island and peninsula farms in view. From there\, we walk along Garden Gate Road to Gowlland Todd Provincial Park\, stopping at the beach for a break. We continue on Benvenuto Avenue\, taking a hidden path to Woodward before descending to the ocean. We walk along the ocean to Verdier Park\, where we have a coffee and snack break and then meander through the streets before returning to our cars. \nPets are not permitted on our walks for the comfort and safety of all walkers\, thank you! \nWalk Statistics:\nTotal Distance: 11 km\nEstimated Finish Time: 3.5 hours (with coffee)\nElevation: 315m ascent: 315m descent\nDifficulty: Medium\nSurface: Pavement and dirt trails

The first event was such a success that we are doing it again!  This time\, we really will have sessions on footwear\, packs and gear and hold a door prize raffle! \nWe were all so overwhelmed last time with the 80+ attendees\, we were caught off guard\, but this time we will be ready for whatever the night brings! \nMembers will also receive a discount on all purchases!  This is your opportunity to become educated and outfitted by our partners at Robinson’s! \nDoors open at 5:30pm.

SUMMARY:St James Day Walk
DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to our annual St. James Day Walk event.  Walkers can choose to walk 10 km or 20 km. Come join us\, share experiences and enjoy a picnic together after the walk. You’ll see markings for our meeting place off the main parking lot. \nIf you would like to walk 20 km (twice around the lakes)\, the meeting time is 7:45am and starts at 8am.\nIf you would like to walk 10 km (once around the lakes) meeting time is 9:45am at 10am. \n \nThe picnic will start about 12:00pm with everyone bringing their own food\, beverages\, and seating. Dessert will be provided!\n \nWalk Statistics:\nTotal Distance: 10 km or 20 km\nEstimated Finish Time: 2 hours or 4 hours (excluding lunch)\nElevation Change: 131m\nDifficulty: Easy\nSurface: Dirt trails
