There is some construction in the area so if there is not enough room to park you can leave your car at Helmcken Centennial Park 100 m down the road.  We will follow the Galloping Goose trail towards Langford and walk to the top of Mill Hill with some excellent views of Esquimalt Harbour. After 11 km we will stop to enjoy coffee and snacks at The Nest Cafe. We ascend to Gore Park\, with slab rocks\, moss\, and frost-covered plants. Continuing to Oak Haven Park\, then climbing a hill to a summit with Saltspring Island and peninsula farms in view. From there\, we walk along Garden Gate Road to Gowlland Todd Provincial Park\, stopping at the beach for a break. We continue on Benvenuto Avenue\, taking a hidden path to Woodward before descending to the ocean.
